The busts are set within the field without additional ornamentation. The Greek legend ΤΙΒ ΓΕΡ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΕΣ, meaning 'Tiberius (and) Germanicus Caesars', is distributed around the periphery. The workmanship is consistent with the output of a Cyrenaican provincial mint under the early Julio-Claudian administration, displaying shallow relief and somewhat irregular die alignment. |
