Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Carian civic coinage. The imperial effigy is set within the field with a circular Greek legend running around the periphery. The portraiture reflects the youthful features conventionally associated with Alexander's reign, with visible paludamentum at the shoulder.
