Reverse description A serpent rearing erect and coiling upon itself, depicted in profile facing right, occupying the central field of the coin. The serpent's body forms a prominent sinuous curve, a type associated with healing cults and local civic iconography of Bithynian cities. The encircling Greek legend ΚΑΙϹΑΡΕΙΑϹ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΗϹ identifies the issuing city of Caesarea Germanica. A beaded border frames the design at the periphery.
