The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Arabian civic coinage of the Severan period. A partial Greek legend runs in the field to the left of the portrait. The portrait displays the characteristic strong features associated with Caracalla's early coinage issued under the reign of Septimius Severus. |
