| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled in the characteristic Severan fashion, with a bun at the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Lydian civic bronzes of the Severan period. The Greek legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the empress as Augusta. |
