| Obverse description | Draped, veiled, and stephane bust of Boule facing right, rendered in the typical personification style of the Severan-era civic coinage of Asia Minor. The bust displays a laureate wreath or stephane atop the veil, with drapery visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend ΙΕΡΑ ΒΟΥΛΗ ('Sacred Council') encircles the effigy, identifying this as a civic issue struck in the name of the municipal council of Blaundus. The die engraving, though worn, preserves the characteristic serene facial features associated with the personification of Boule on provincial bronzes of the Lydian conventus. |
