| Obverse description | Radiate head of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean colonial issues. The emperor's features are depicted with characteristic Julio-Claudian portraiture, showing a youthful countenance surmounted by a radiate crown. The circular Latin legend runs around the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor in full. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is common for hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |
