| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean bronze coinage. The portrait displays characteristic Neronian facial features with a slightly fleshy chin and short hair beneath the laurel wreath. The Greek legend ΝΕΡΩΝ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ curves around the field, identifying the emperor. The flan is irregular, consistent with hammered provincial production of the mid-first century AD. |

| Reverse description | Draped bust of Agrippina the Younger facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with elaborately arranged hair coiffed in the characteristic Julio-Claudian fashion. The portrait is boldly struck with visible drapery folds at the shoulder, reflecting the iconographic tradition of imperial women on provincial coinage. The Greek legend ΑΓΡΙΠΠΙΝΑ is placed in the field around the bust. The pairing of Nero with his mother Agrippina on this issue reflects her significant political influence at the outset of his reign. |
