| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gaius Julius Verus Maximus Caesar facing right, seen from the rear, the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of the Ionian mint workshops of the Severan period. The encircling Greek legend is disposed around the bust in the field. |
