Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The laureate wreath is visible atop the imperial effigy, with the portrait displaying the characteristic bearded physiognomy of Marcus Aurelius. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the typical patina of Egyptian provincial bronze coinage.
