Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted in three-quarter front view, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Corinthian bronzes of the period. A circular legend surrounds the bust, reading IMP CAES TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan.
