The portrait is rendered in the provincial Roman style typical of the Smyrnaean mint, with the Imperial consort's features modelled in moderate relief. The encircling Greek legend names her with her full titulature, running around the bust. |

The figure evokes the protective deity of Smyrna, emphasizing the city's pride in its triple neocorate status, as proclaimed in the encircling Greek legend. |
