Obverse description Draped bust of Furia Tranquillina Augusta facing right, wearing a stephane diadem and elaborate necklace with pendant drops. The empress is depicted with a slightly idealized portrait, her hair arranged in the typical Severan fashion with waves drawn back from the face. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Artemis, the divine huntress, stands facing right in dynamic pose, grasping and forcefully pulling down a stag by its antlers. The goddess is depicted in short chiton with quiver at her shoulder, engaged in a vigorous hunting scene of considerable artistic energy. The encircling ethnic legend of the issuing city appears in the field around the figures.
