Reverse description The river god Harpasos personified as a reclining male figure, turned to the left, holding a reed in one hand and a cornucopia in the other, with his elbow resting upon a water urn from which water flows — the standard iconographic type for river deities on provincial coinage. The ethnic legend ΑΡΠΑϹΗΝΩΝ is disposed around the figure in the field. The composition is characteristic of Carian civic bronzes struck under Gordian III.
