Reverse description Tyche, the personification of fortune and civic prosperity, standing facing left in full figure, draped in a long chiton and himation. She wears the kalathos (modius) upon her head, symbolizing abundance, and holds a ship's rudder downward in her right hand while cradling a cornucopia in her left arm. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is inscribed in the right field, identifying the issuing city of Nicaea in Bithynia. The figure is rendered in the standard Hellenistic tradition typical of Bithynian provincial bronzes of the Severan period.
