Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, the effigy rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. The laurel wreath is visible atop the head, with drapery indicated on the truncation. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze production of the Antonine period.
