| Beschrijving keerzijde | Cybele, the Anatolian mother goddess, seated left upon a throne, extending a patera in her right hand and resting her left arm on a tympanum. The figure is rendered in the static, frontal-throne style typical of Asia Minor civic bronzes of the Severan period. The divided legend ΤΕΙΜΟΘΕ — ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟ flanks the enthroned deity on left and right, naming the civic magistrate Timotheos as dedicator to the Traianopolitans. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Traianopolis in the Sardis conventus was a minor Lydian city whose civic coinage under Caracalla reflects the broader competitive culture of Asia Minor's poleis — each eager to demonstrate loyalty to the imperial house through locally struck bronze. The city took its name from Trajan, and coins of this type are among the primary surviving evidence for its civic identity.
V.2#27282 is a sparsely documented reference, and genuine examples surface rarely enough that provenance tracking remains difficult.
