Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the conventional Roman provincial style, with bold relief typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, partially preserved. The alpha characters are rendered in the distinctive lambda (Λ) form characteristic of this mint's engraving tradition.
