Maeonia was a small inland city of Lydia whose civic coinage depended heavily on the tenure of individual magistrates — the inscription naming Diodoros as archon for the second time is the primary dating anchor for this issue, not the imperial reign itself. Such second-term magistracies are documented but uncommon in Lydian provincial bronze, and their appearance in the legend reflects the city's civic pride in continuity of local office rather than any imperial directive.
