| Reverse description | Nude figure of Apollo standing facing, head turned to the left, his right arm raised and reaching back over the shoulder to draw an arrow from the quiver slung at his back, while his left hand holds a bow. The deity is rendered in a Classical contrapposto pose, reflecting the Hellenistic artistic tradition maintained in Carian provincial coinage. The magistrate's legend ΔΙΑ Μ ΚΑΡ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΑΝΟΥ is distributed in the field, recording the name of the local official (dia(grammateos) M. Kar. Klaudianou) responsible for the issue. |

| Additional information |
Trapezopolis was a minor Carian city of limited political weight, and its civic bronze coinage under Antoninus Pius survives in very small numbers — a function of modest mint output rather than loss. The magistrate name preserved in the legend, M. Kar. Klaudianos, is among the few pieces of administrative evidence we have for local governance in this city during the Antonine period; the man himself appears in no other surviving source.
