| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare head of Agrippa Postumus, designated Caesar, facing right, rendered in a plain, unadorned style characteristic of early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The portrait is set within the flat field with no border, and the surrounding Latin legend identifies the subject by name and title. The die workmanship is modest, consistent with the colonial mint output of Corinth under Augustus. Surface patina is a deep olive-brown with areas of encrustation obscuring portions of the legend. |
