Reverse description Two torches crossed in saltire at the center of the field, their flames indicated at the upper ends, set within a laurel wreath tied at the base. The Greek legend ΑΜΑΣΤΡΕΩΣ appears in the upper portion of the field, with the magistrate's initials or date letters ΓΛ positioned below, referencing the civic era of Amastris. The wreath border frames the design neatly, consistent with Pontic civic coinage of the late first century BC.
