| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Hostilian as Caesar, facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front. The youthful effigy displays short hair with individually incised strands and is clad in paludamentum and lorica. The encircling Greek legend names the Caesar by his full titulature, running clockwise around the periphery of the flan. |
