| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus (as Caesar under Trajan Decius) facing right, rendered in three-quarter front view. The paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is indicated at the lower truncation. The obverse legend in Greek characters encircles the bust, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The portrait style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage struck at Philadelphia in Lydia during the Decian period. |
