Obverse description Draped bust of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet and aegis, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Lydian conventus. The helmet crest is visible above the head, and the aegis with its characteristic scaly texture is discernible across the chest. The Greek legend ΤΡΙΠΟΛ appears in the right field, identifying the issuing city of Tripolis. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the Trajanic period.
