Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Titus facing right, with radiate or laureate crown visible despite surface wear, draped over the shoulder. A Greek legend runs around the circumference of the field, naming the issuing authority and the proconsul Lucius Ceionius Commodus. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style typical of Syrian civic bronzes of the Flavian period, with linear engraving of facial features. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with extended burial. The legend references the magistrate under whose authority the coin was struck.
