| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea facing right, wearing a diadem, depicted in the typical provincial style of the Severan period. The effigy presents the empress in three-quarter view with visible drapery folds over the shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters identifying the subject as Julia Mamaea Augusta. The flan is irregular and the surfaces exhibit characteristic patination of a provincial bronze issue. |
