Reverse description Aphrodite standing facing, head turned to the left, holding a mirror before her in which she contemplates her own reflection. The goddess is rendered in long drapery, and the ethnic legend ΚΑΛΧΑΔΟΝΙΩΝ curves around the field identifying the issuing city of Calchedon. The coin surface carries a heavy olive-green patina consistent with prolonged burial.
