Obverse description Draped bust of Plautilla facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed in the Severan fashion with ridged waves drawn back from the forehead. The effigy is rendered in typical provincial workshop style, with a dotted border encircling the flan. The Greek legend ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ ΠΛΑΥΤΙΛΑ is disposed around the bust, identifying the empress as Augusta.
