Obverse description Radiate head of Emperor Nero facing left, depicted with characteristic youthful features and the solar radiate crown rendered in low relief. The effigy is set within a circular Latin legend running along the periphery of the flan. The portrait style is consistent with provincial Roman coinage of the Julio-Claudian period, exhibiting a somewhat crude execution typical of Achaean colonial mint production.
