| Descrizione del dritto | Confronted busts of Maximinus I Thrax, laureate and draped, facing right, and Maximus Caesar, bare-headed and draped, facing left, set face-to-face in the field. The Greek imperial legend encircles both effigies, running around the periphery of the flan. The portrait style is characteristic of Severan-era provincial workshop engraving, with bold, slightly rough modelling of the facial features. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The river god Smardos reclines to the left in a languid, naturalistic pose typical of Hellenistic personification types; he holds a reed in one hand and rests his arm upon an overturned vase from which water flows freely, symbolising the local river. The reverse legend is distributed across the field identifying the issuing city and the river deity. The figure is rendered with soft, rounded modelling consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
