Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of the Caesar Maximus facing right, seen from the rear, with curly hair rendered in fine detail. The paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder, and the cuirass is articulated across the chest. The Greek legend is disposed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait is executed in the provincial style characteristic of Phrygian civic coinage of the Severan era.
