| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, wearing the paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder. The portrait follows the canonical Hadrianic type with characteristic beard. A partial Latin legend encircles the effigy, beginning IMP CAE TRAI-, referencing his titulature as successor to Trajan. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily patinated, rendering some details difficult to discern. |
