| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted three-quarter from the front. The radiate crown, a hallmark of imperial solar imagery, surmounts the youthful effigy. The paludamentum is visible over the cuirass, conveying both military and imperial authority. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in full. The surface exhibits the characteristic dark olive-brown patina of a heavily circulated provincial bronze. |
