Reverse description A tall kalathos (wicker basket or modius) set centrally in the field, containing three prominent ears of grain rising upright from its rim, evoking themes of agricultural fertility and civic prosperity. The basket is rendered with hatched wicker-work detailing typical of provincial die-cutting of the Severan and post-Severan era. The ethnic legend of the issuing city encircles the type in the field to either side. The overall composition is bold and well-centred despite the irregular flan.
