| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Isthmos stands facing, rendered in a static frontal pose with arms extended to either side, holding a ship's rudder in each hand — an iconographic reference to Corinth's dual maritime dominance over the Saronic and Corinthian gulfs. The figure stands on a low ground line, with the legend distributed around the periphery. The reverse legend identifies the duovir Lucius Caninius Agrippa and the colonial mint of Corinth. The die work is characteristic of the Roman colonial workshop at Corinth during the reign of Galba. |
