Galba's reign lasted just seven months before his murder in January 69 AD — the year that would consume three more emperors before Vespasian finally stabilized the throne. Provincial civic bronzes issued under his name are scarce by default, the window of production simply too narrow. This piece names the local magistrate Polemarchos Makros, one of the few such officials from Augustan-era Thebes whose name survives in the numismatic record at all rather than in epigraphy.
