Obverse description Turreted and draped bust of Tyche facing right, wearing a mural crown, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Achaean civic bronzes. The legend ΘΗΒΑΙΩΝ runs around the periphery, identifying the issuing city of Thebes. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with surfaces showing the characteristic patina of a hammered provincial bronze. The portrait, though worn, retains the distinctive turreted headdress associated with the personification of civic fortune.
