| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, depicted in the Roman imperial tradition with the wreath of laurel rendered in relief around the head. The legend encircles the portrait within a beaded border, identifying the emperor by his full Antonine nomenclature. The style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Achaean colony of Patras, exhibiting the characteristic broad-shouldered bust form of the Commodan period. |
