| Obverse description | Bare head of the emperor Caligula (Gaius Caesar Germanicus) facing right, rendered in the portrait style typical of early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The effigy displays youthful facial features consistent with imperial portraits of Caligula. The surrounding legend reads C CAESAR GERMANICVS AVG, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with moderate relief, characteristic of provincial hammered bronze issues.
