A serpent coils around the cista, its head raised to the right. To the left stands a pedum (shepherd's crook) from which a pair of cymbals is suspended, further emblems of the Dionysiac cult. The magistrate's name ΑΙΛ ΔΙΟΝΥϹΙΟϹ appears in the field, possibly in retrograde with the Ν potentially reversed. |
