Reverse description Helmeted Athena (or Roma?) seated left upon a cuirass, holding Nike in her extended right hand and a sword in her left; a shield leans against the seat at her side. The reverse type is a common martial deity motif found on provincial bronze coinage of Mysia. The surrounding Greek legend, partially preserved and tentatively restored, records the name of the strategos Lupercus and the civic ethnic of Pionia.
