| Obverse description | Bare head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Pergamene mint. The portrait displays the emperor's mature features with short hair and a beard, consistent with his earliest imperial coinage of 138 AD. The circular Greek legend ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΤΙ ΑΙ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor in abbreviated form. The die work is typical of Mysian provincial bronze coinage, with an irregularly shaped flan and somewhat rough surface texture. |

| Reverse description | A Capricorn, the personal emblem of Augustus later adopted as an imperial symbol, strides to the right across the field, holding a globe between its fore-hooves. A cornucopia rises above the creature, symbolising abundance and imperial prosperity. The reverse type reflects the integration of Augustan dynastic imagery into provincial coinage under the Antonine dynasty. The ethnic legend ΠΕΡΓΑΜΗΝΩΝ is inscribed in two lines in the lower reverse field, identifying the issuing city. The design occupies the full flan with minimal exergue, characteristic of Mysian civic bronze issues. |
