| Obverse description | Draped bust of Sarapis facing left, the god wearing a tall kalathos (modius) atop his head, a characteristic attribute of the Alexandrian deity. The bust is rendered in the Hellenistic provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage, with visible drapery folds across the shoulder. The circular Greek legend ΑΜΟΡΙΑΝΩΝ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing city of Amorium. |
