| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is heavily worn and encrusted, with the original design rendered largely illegible beneath dense corrosion and patination. Traces of a central device, likely associated with the cult of the Phrygian lunar god Mên — a common reverse type for Antiochene provincial bronzes — may be discerned, though specific elements cannot be confirmed with certainty. The second countermark associated with Mên, as referenced in Howgego, was applied to this face of the coin. The irregular flan edge and flat, featureless field are consistent with heavily circulated provincial Æ coinage of the 2nd century AD. |
