Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic broad features and sturdy neck associated with Flavian imperial iconography. A dotted border encircles the flan. The obverse legend in Greek characters is distributed around the portrait, identifying the emperor by his title. The flan is irregular and shows the characteristic fabric of hammered bronze provincial coinage.
