| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian facing right, rendered in three-quarter front view. The effigy displays the characteristic military paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, with visible pteryges at the base of the neck. The Greek imperial legend curves around the periphery of the flan. The portrait style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage struck under the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus (253–260 AD), exhibiting the slightly stylized treatment typical of Thessalian civic workshops. |
