The effigy conveys imperial dignity through the military cuirass and laurel wreath. A Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying the young Caesar by his full nomenclature. The style is consistent with the provincial coinage of the Conventus Ephesi during the joint reign of Valerian I and Gallienus. |
