| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, depicted from behind, rendering the paludamentum and armour visible across the shoulders. The emperor's laureate head is shown in three-quarter rear view, a presentation characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the mid-third century. The Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, reading ΑΥΤ Κ Π ΛΙΚ ΓΑΛΛΙΗΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature as Imperator Caesar Publius Licinius Gallienus. |
