Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, depicted from behind, rendering the paludamentum and armour visible across the shoulders. The emperor's laureate head is shown in three-quarter rear view, a presentation characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the mid-third century. The Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, reading ΑΥΤ Κ Π ΛΙΚ ΓΑΛΛΙΗΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature as Imperator Caesar Publius Licinius Gallienus.
